Joniškis – Daunorava Manor – Tērvete Nature Park / Tarzāna Parks – Žagarė – Joniškis
- The first stop after leaving Joniškis – the Great Daunorava (German. Donnerhof) Manor. Written sources first mention this in 1557, with its authentic environment and buildings, is included in the Register of Cultural Values of the Republic of Lithuania, and preserved to this day. This is a very pleasant environment for walks, and to absorb the history of several centuries ago.
- The next stop is Tērvete Nature Park in Latvia. Not only will families with children find many activities here, but also adults who enjoy hiking in a breath-taking and natural outdoor space. There are many hiking routes, the most unusual feature – the tallest wooden tower in Latvia, rises above the tops of pine trees – from here you can look at the greatness of nature from above. Tarzāna Parks is a great opportunity for both children and parents to try their hand at climbing. For those who get hungry, there is a café in the territory of Mammadaba Park.
- After revitalising in nature, the direction of travel is Žagarė. A great choice from here is to start this route from the Žagarė Manor complex. It is one of the largest surviving manor houses in Lithuania. The complex consists of a late classicist style residential manor, a stable complex, outbuildings, a mill, and the worker’s house. The beauty of the manor is a park occupying more than 70 ha. One of the many possibilities here is to visit the Ozas nature trail and the Island of Love. Arriving in the recreation area Prie pušyno in the summer season is an ideal opportunity to take part in various water entertainment, to enjoy water bikes, paddles and experience the pleasure of movement on the beach volleyball court.
- Turning towards Joniškis – Stop to admire the unique pottery house and to visit the churches. When you return to Joniškis, you can then relax and fondly remember an amazing and surreal day.
